RoamAlert Wandering Patient System
By outfitting each resident with the smallest, lightest radio transmitter on the market and installing RoamAlert Door Controllers at exits, they are given the freedom to move about the facility without being constantly monitored. When a resident approaches an exit, the Door Controller locks the door to prevent the resident from leaving and if the door is open, an alarm sounds. The RoamAlert system is customizable to allow individuals their freedom while still considering their safety.
Any number of facility exits can be outfitted with the wandering patient system, including elevators to prevent residents from moving from one floor to another. With other unique accessories, detailed logs are created with what time the exit alarm occurred and which staff member assisted. Products are available to maximize RoamAlert Wander Protection based on facility size and the number of residents.
